Thena Duka (South Fateful) is a collection of songs I have written over the past seven years. They are songs I wrote in between supporting other musicians with their endeavours. They are the songs that I retreated to. These songs have always been with me and are very much the other side of going beyond crystal. While pursuing electronic music and collaborating with other artists, having the opportunity to shift back and forth to alternate forms of vocabulary has allowed me to explore new depths of communication within myself. Allowing myself to speak to people about stuff I would not normally tell them, creates a whole new freedom where emotions transcend through every language. The songs on South Fateful display emotions felt at one point about the exploration of relationships. The process of making these songs and being able to express this point in time, allows me to show the core of who we are and our potential to be who we are meant to be. It is the deep, raw emotion I have collected together to help you understand who I am and what I can do.

Music is a curse I was born with. It is not an escape. At times music hurts and at other times music is euphoric. It is a switch that turns on inside of me and it just releases itself and turns off when it is supposed to. I present you with South Fateful because it is only when the music reaches other people that it turns from a curse into music. It is something inside that haunts me and cannot escape from. The only way to be free is when other people experience it. Only then, it no longer is something that is trapped inside of me, but something I can share. You are lifting the curse because it is no longer kept inside of me. Thank you for setting me free. Thank you for your support. It means everything to me.
